Are your tyres pumped up?

Balanced life

For a car to run efficiently, all four tyres need to be pumped up to the correct specification. At Hillcrest, we see children work towards their full potential when we feed into their four ‘tyres’ of overall wellbeing, academic success, emotional intelligence and their spiritual growth.

Finding the right school for your child can be a daunting task. Some schools have a strong focus on academic outcomes, and have a long history of striving towards exceptional results that place the school at the top of league tables. Some schools are well-known for their pastoral programs and foster a strong sense of community. Some schools pride themselves on being leaders in global innovation and real-world connections. And others provide a spiritual framework in which to develop strong values in a safe and supportive environment. At Hillcrest, achieving high academic outcomes is one of our key priorities. However, students won’t achieve to their potential if they are not being nurtured in these other domains. For a child to achieve at their maximum capacity, they need to have a balance of wellbeing, academic success, social-emotional development and spiritual nourishment, all within a global context. This is the educational framework the VLC follows to grow young people who are energised, educated, equipped and empowered to live the life for which they were created.
